Africa-Asia Youth Foundation Celebrates International Youth Day in Vietnam.

Africa-Asia Youth Foundation (AAYFO) with its commitment to empowering and mobilizing youth across continents, proudly hosted a remarkable International Youth Day celebration in the beautiful city of Hanoi, Vietnam. It was a 2-day event that was held from 12th August - 13 August 2019. It brought together young leaders, activists, and change-makers from Africa and Asia to engage, collaborate, and inspire one another toward a brighter future. The event was in collaboration with Soci Hub and sponsored by CSDS.


Vietnam, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes, served as the perfect backdrop for this significant gathering of young minds. The International Youth Day celebration in Vietnam aimed not only to celebrate the invaluable contributions of youth but also to recognize the diversity, innovation, and resilience that they embody.


The event witnessed an impressive lineup of speakers, consisting of young personalities and distinguished thought leaders from various sectors. These individuals shared their expertise, experiences, and insights on pertinent issues such as sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, gender equality, and climate action. The audience was captivated as these speakers illuminated the path for collective action and highlighted the ability of youth to drive positive change.


Interactive workshops and panel discussions were organized to facilitate knowledge-sharing, networking, and capacity-building among the attendees. These sessions fostered fruitful discussions on topics like leadership development, digital innovation, and youth-led initiatives. The Africa-Asia Youth Foundation believes that nurturing such platforms not only empowers individuals but also cultivates collaboration and mutual understanding between Africa and Asia, forging lifelong partnerships in the pursuit of a common goal: a prosperous and sustainable future.


The Africa-Asia Youth Foundation reiterated its commitment to supporting young voices and their quest for positive change. In recognition of the pivotal role that young people play, the event was a great opportunity for AAYFO to announce several initiatives designed to empower and uplift youth in both regions. These initiatives include mentorship programs and skill-building initiatives that aim to provide young individuals with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in our ever-evolving world.


As the event concluded, there was a palpable sense of optimism and determination in the air. The International Youth Day celebration in Hanoi, Vietnam successfully provided a platform for cross-cultural learning, collaboration, and transformative dialogue. Participants left with renewed inspiration and a strong sense of camaraderie, ready to contribute towards building a better future for Africa, Asia, and beyond.
