Welcome to the Official Website of the Africa Asia Youth Foundation. We are a youth-led and youth-serving organization that was founded in 2018 and exists to promote South-South cooperation between the youth of Africa and Asia. At AAYFO we believe in the power of young people to drive change and to inspire each other to do the same. We believe in the strong power of exchange and peer learning and teaching.

Since its inception, AAYFO has stood out as a driver of youth meaningful engagement and participation in the full implementation of the sustainable development goals in the global south. Africa Asia Youth Foundation is a strong partner for the SDGs in the Global South and we strongly believe that Education is the backbone of a successful implementation of Vision 2030. We believe that Education has no boundaries or borders hence the implementation of our Education without Borders program. Under this program, we are establishing the International Centre for Learning, Social Enterprise, and Innovation. The Centre will implement education for sustainable development projects, climate change, ICT, and innovation as well as entrepreneurship. The Center will always support the implementation of all initiatives aimed at stimulating interest in education and science, valuing the work and reputation of young researchers, and contributing to the body of knowledge.

In this era where society has reached its limit (society 5.0), the role of technologies such as AI, IoT and Machine Learning cannot be overemphasised. While this is the case there remains a huge digital divide in growing economies and promoting tech education in these environments will assist us close the digital gap, improve employment outcomes by preparing youth for the future of work. While the future of work is important sustainability of that future is important. Climate change and the environmental management is important hence all our innovations in the Centre are expected to be green, they should be climate resilient.  

AAYFO has a culture of celebrating youth efforts in leading change and ensuring that platforms are created for peer learning and teaching through exchange programs, youth diplomatic forums and conferences. The forums help young people show off their work, inspire each other and core create solutions for problems in their communities. These forums are held under our program entitled  “Youth leading change.” For years youth have been viewed as beneficiaries of programs but we view them as both beneficiaries and facilitators. They are equal stakeholders and if the global south fully harnesses the power of the youth demographic it would accelerate achievement of the global goals. We at AAYFO value peace and in our exchange programs we value the role of culture

We are fully convinced that our programs feed directly to the global development agenda and through the efforts of youth in the global south we will contribute immensely to sustainable development through consolidating the youth efforts. By virtue of promoting cooperation and collaboration in the Global South we are by no means isolating ourselves. We value collaboration with the north. We are open to triangular cooperation and we are reaching out to the north to collaborate with us in all our programs to achieve our vision.
Our vision is driven by motivated volunteers and the monetary contributions of well wishers who would like to see the world be a better place. We call upon the youth of the global south to join us in this vision and mission. Everyone of you is valuable and your contribution will make that difference.
